Qualification Overview

This qualification is knowledge-based and is aimed at learners who are currently working within the Retail sector, and who have the opportunity to specialise and wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of the sector and industry.

Qualification Structure

Learners must achieve a minimum of 16 credits to achieve this qualification: 10 credits must come from Group A and 6 credits can come from either Group A or Group B.

Group A

  • Unit 18 - Understanding customer service in the retail sector

  • Unit 20 - Understanding the management of risks to health and safety on the premises of a retail business

  • Unit 22 - Understanding the retail selling process

  • Unit 24 - Understanding the development of personal and team effectiveness in a retail business

Group B

  • Unit 17 - Understanding how the effectiveness of store operations can be improved

  • Unit 19 - Understanding how the smooth operation of a payment point is maintained

  • Unit 21 - Understanding security and loss prevention in a retail business

  • Unit 23 - Understanding the management of stock in a retail business
